25th World Gas Conference & Exhibition 2012

One of the biggest and most important gas conferences in the world will take place next week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4 - 8 June, 2012.


Gas: Sustaining Future Global Growth

Organised by the International Gas Union, the 25th World Gas Conference (WGC) will play host to speakers from some of the most influential global gas companies such as Shell, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, RasGas, Qatargas, Statoil ASA, KOGAS and the Japan Gas Association will share rare and insightful views on the sustainability and future global growth of natural gas.

Utilising WGC2012 as a platform to generate discussion and debate on some of the most pressing issues within the natural gas industry today, these gas captains will also share prospects and challenges on the future of the industry. Three key themes addressed at the conference are: Building strategic capital; Nurturing the future generations; and Geopolitics & natural gas.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak will officially open the 25th World Gas Conference with a welcome address and Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas, President & CEO, PETRONAS; Datuk Dr Abdul Rahim Hashim, President IGU, MGA; and Datuk Anuar Ahmad, Executive VP, PETRONAS Gas & Power Business and Chairman, National Organising Committee WGC2012 will also welcome attendees.

Preparations are well under way in Kuala Lumpur where the city has transformed into a festival of lights over the KLCC waters and the WGC village is a buzz of activity.
