SUPER-RARE, EX-ROGER MOORE MOVIE LAMBORGHINI ISLERO TO BE AUCTIONED IN CENTRAL LONDON
Although Sir Roger Moore remains one of the best known actors to have played Master Spy, James Bond, one of his own personal favourite film performances is his starring role in the British-made film The Man Who Haunted Himself. This cryptically titled thriller saw Moore play a dual role, in which he is frequently seen driving a very rare Lamborghini Islero GTS – the example on offer. The car featured prominently throughout the movie, including the climatic chase scene.
Finished in silver and carrying the original movie registration number ‘YRL 11G’, this Islero is one of only five RHD cars built and is restored to a very high standard. It is accompanied by a letter of authenticity confirming its use in the 1970 film The Man Who Haunted Himself. In addition, Sir Roger Moore was recently reunited with the Islero in London where he was photographed with the car and autographed the sun visor, the original driver’s handbook and a special plaque. The car is estimated to achieve between £95,000 - £135,000 at RM’s upcoming London sale.

The Islero will be in good company at RM’s Automobiles of London sale next month – the single-day auction also features the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond movie car as driven by Sean Connery in the hit films Goldfinger and Thunderball.
